The State of Minecraft (Oldfags Perspective)

Jeb changed the design of updates since 1.10, making them thematic (Villagers & Pillagers, Nether, Aquatic and etc.). It was accompanied with corporate slop trailers and other live-service trash. Thougheverbeit overall new content was not drastically different from what was before, it was always 50% useless shit that only nophono uses, and 50% actually useful stuff. Latest (1.20+) updates are more akin to fortnite or call of duty seasons, they serve purpose of "keeping up" the hype of the game, which shows you what kind of game minecraft became.

Zoomers love to complain that modern updates add useless shit, while "le old 'craft" updates ALL added ONLY useful additions and features, which is obviously not true. This is due to the fact that these zoomers were too young to care about that stuff, while oldfags from old reddit and forums complained about Notch and Jeb releasing 15 subversions that would break mods and add useless shit, or Notch promising to add thrembillion mobs and features and doing nothing in the end.

The State of Minecraft (Zoomers Perspective)

Unless your a caca or Oldfag many people will agree the game was great at one point and that's true from 1.0 to 1.12 their update design used to be about adding new stuff in sections of the game like combat, building, and exploration which had little to no controversies and was great but Jeb got dementia one day and decided in 1.13 to drastically change the update design to updating old areas in the game like oceans, villages, the Nether, and caves. Sounds good on paper, in practice they fucked it up every time they did it (except 1.16) breaking a lot of the game's mechanics, adding a fuck ton of useless crap, and ruining it's performance. 1.13 was also when they started adding mechanics that discouraged you from killing passive mobs. Instead of killing sea turtles for scutes, you have to breed them and then wait for the baby to grow up for it to drop them (not like scutes do anything useful anyway). In fact, the fish added in 1.13 were the last passive mobs that drop anything useful upon death.

Mojang stopped doing this in 2024 with 1.21 (which was surprisingly a good update) the reason being that "Caves n Cliffs was too heckkin hard to make" (Which is a complete koosher lie they split the update because they were so creatively bankrupted braindeaded to think anything new afterwards) and promised to go back the "old ways" which those updates fucking suck too and have the same problems and don't reflect what they used to make them there is no point in playing modern Minecraft unless it's for the mods but thankfully Notch is making a Minecraft 2. Though the fact that they're doing a lot of backend refactoring in Java Edition is promising (will probably be one of those things that takes decades to finish and doesn't actually do anything useful doe).

The game's Troonification reached new levels with the "Tiny Takeover" drop, which changed all the baby mobs to look more appealing to trannies.

  • This update brought a lot of technical changes that would force modders to completely rewrite their mods from scratch if they wanted to transition their mods from 1.12.2 to 1.13, that's why you see so much oldfag mods ending their support at 1.12.2.
• 1.14: the coal that killed the 'craft breaking a lot of mechanics and being too easy promised to make villages great and not resource management but done exactly that trading is now way too OP since they can give you mending which thanks to the annoying raid system where illigers come like every 2 days or every village if you have bad omen where they drop emeralds or a totem of undying this makes the woodland mansions useless since you don't have to go there anymore. Villages are filled with beds, furnaces, 3 stacks of 64x bread and even flint and steel making you barley have to do anything in the game. The stuff added sucks too there just versions of features that did it way better making it SNCA like the Smoker, Barrel, Blast Furance, and more the only good things added to this update was the cross bow and some blocks overall this update was complete let down also this was update that started using the cropo animated trailers cause they know how bad it was gonna be geeeeeeeeeg
  • Pewdiepie also started his playthrough since this version which caused a massive influx of newfags into 'craft. Pewdiepie also changed the status of minecraft from "stupid kids game" to something respectable in adult world, 'cause before this, minecraft had a similar reputation as Skibidi Toilet.

  • 1.20-1.20.5: This was the time period where they stall with the cave update features for a couple more updates adding SNCA really go check the wiki if you really care that much.
  • 1.21: A update that wasn't any content from the cave update and wasn't actually crap it was GREAT in fact similar to what 1.11 did the trial chambers was a fun dungeon that had many secrets to explore with great loot and added a lot of amazing features that the community was asking for like locked chests, more paintings, and a new weapon this was surprisingly the last good update that Mojang didn't fuck up how did they do it? who knows but it was a last spark of hope until 1.21.4 came out
    • 1.21.2: Added bundles, the last of the features originally promised for 1.17. It took so long because a company with hundreds of employees developing the most popular game in the world couldn't figure out how to get bundles to work on touchscreens.
  • 1.21.4: After the disaster mess that was the cave update they decided to go back to making updates like they did before 1.13 you excepted it to be a fresh new start but instead they made the worst update ever and added a new A24-inspired slow-burn spine-tingling bone-chilling genre-redefining gender-affirming Monster that dies when hitting a certain part of a tree in a biome that is a re-textured Forrest you can set this standard of the game going forward because because they reach rock bottom of being creatively bankrupted to add anything interesting in the game

How to make a Minecraft server!

DEDOTADED WAM

A Minecraft server is essentially a hosted server that runs in real time, meaning the server continues to run and you and your friends can connect to it on demand at any time you like. To set one up you have to have a machine with a public IP and port forwarding, also look into getting a free DNS provider so you don't have to use a raw IP address.

Tutorial

Java Edition

To set up a Minecraft Java Edition server you need obviously your own machine of some sort. It can be a designated server or even just a laptop or something that can run a tmux session. I personally use Debian (a Linux distribution) and use tmux to run it in the background but you can run a Minecraft server on any operating system you want. Make sure you put it in a dedicated folder so the service can be isolated.

Then install OpenJDK (must use OpenJDK 21 or later as Minecraft requires Java 21). I personally recommend using the Microsoft build which you can find here, just choose whichever method is right for your system.

You have to open the port 25565 which Minecraft uses by default.

Choose any Minecraft server hosting software, personally I recommend PaperMC, it is simple and regularly updated o algo and also very easy to install mods onto. Download it and put it in your Minecraft server directory. Then create a Bash script called start.sh (or whatever you want) with the following contents:

replace _A_ and _B_ with the minimum and maximum amount of RAM you want the server to use (for example you can make it a minimum of 2 GB and maximum of 8 GB with -Xms2G -Xmx8G), and set X and Y to the Minecraft release version and Z to the PaperMC software build number. This script essentially runs the JAR file with your memory limits on the JVM which starts the server. Run it and accept the terms and conditions. You should also disable chat verification and "enforce secure profile" since this allows Mojang to "verify chat messages" and ban people for saying offensive words like the nigger-w. Most of the settings can be configured from the server.properties file.

Also if you plan to have your server private for just you and your friends make sure you enable a whitelist because if you do not your server WILL get griefed by foodists who use bots to search every IP and port for Minecraft servers. They WILL spam 'p and try to crash your server or get it banned so make sure you have security measures in place such as anti-griefing mods if you plan to run it without a whitelist.

How to make Mods

You can make your own mods for Minecraft very easily. The game uses Java so all the modding APIs are in Java. As of 29 October 2025, Minecraft Java Edition is no longer obfuscated (previously obfuscated using ProGuard), and can thus be much easier to mod. To look at the Minecraft source code, decompress the .jar file, and you should find a bunch of .class files inside. If your IDE has a decompiler like FernFlower, it can easily convert the .class files back to .java. (Even though Mojang has been providing obfuscation maps to recover the original names anyway for quite some time)

If you want to mod Minecraft Bedrock Edition, you have to use JavaScript, and write configurations in JSON. This obviously means Bedrock is far more limited in what you can mod and change about the game, because the core game is still written in C++.

Soundtrack

Minecraft's soundtrack is enjoyed by many Soyteens due to being nostalgic. The classic soundtrack was composed by C418, an East German Communist. Despite him being a retard politically, his music is gemmy. In later updates, Macroshit started replacing the soundtrack with new slop music that doesn't fit the game at all composed by a troon named Lena Raine (real name Leif Chappelle), Aaron Cherof, Kumi Tanioka, and Amos Roddy. It's also way too loud, so it breaks both the immersion and your speakers. The old music is still technically in the game but you rarely ever hear it unless you use a resource pack to remove the new trooncoal.

Eaglercraft is a free and open source remake and port of Minecraft made to run in web browsers. Because it is made to run in web browsers the game is highly optimized, The game has multiple versions of Minecraft remade including 1.12.2, 1.8.8 and 1.5.2. Pixel Gun 3D

Pixel Gun 3D is a mobile clone of Minecraft centered around guns and combat. Used to be very popular in mid 2010s, but started to lose it's playerbase since 2019 and now literally no one, not even Nophono, cares fan about it. The game has 3 main modes, Campaign, Multiplayer and Sandboxing.

• Campaign - a really boring mode where you just shoot random enemies through different locations with a 5th-grader tier story. Slenderman level is pretty gemmy doe
• Multiplayer - COD ripoff, with counter-strike maps. Added a bunch of SNCA modes, and a battle-royale.
• Sandboxing - Absolute vantablack niggerhell of mode, obvious grooming hub.

Survivalcraft

Survivalcraft is a mobile clone of Minecraft that isn't a RPG ripoff. The game distinguishes itself with a stronger focus on realism with features including thirst, body temperature and real life hostile animals like lions and bears. It's actually pretty aryan, one of the best mobile games of it's time. The game was made in July 11, 2011 by Marcin Kalinski originally for his son that liked Minecraft.

When you create a new world the opening video will play and you will be left standing there, watching the ship sail away from you over the Great Eastern Ocean. The sun is rising in front of you so you are facing the east. World generation is random but you usually start at the beach.

Luanti

Minetest is transitioning into Luanti so plz respect xer name and pronouns!!!

Luanti (formerly Minetest) is a open source clone of Minecraft written in C++ with Lua modding support. Its main selling point is the moddability, as it is much easier to create mods for Luanti than for Minecraft (because Minecraft mods are Java while Luanti mods are Lua, meaning that much more retards can make mods). It is a little less bloated than modern Minecraft and has one of the ugliest GUIs ever, even by open source standards. The community is filled with troons and the mod repository forbids any mods more offensive than cat pics. Rumors has it, it will be rewritten in Rust.

Hytale is a brimstone RPG ripoff that was created by the Hypixel team cause their clitty leaked when Mojang didn't allow microtransactions on the Hypixel server or something and created their own version that took 10 years to release because the retarded founder sold it to Riot Games where they put one line of code a day which almost got canceled in 2025 but he bought it again to release a unfinished overpriced RPG Minecraft modpack that died after a month GEG.

The Java Edition is the original Minecraft that was made by Notch and is the only edition you should play as all the other ones are crap. unfortunately the current developers are all DEI hired retarded troons that can't optimize for shit because they spend more time on adding that one hecckin cute mob, but luckily you can just download Sodium, Lithium, Indium, Krypton and the rest of the periodic table to get a 1488% boost in performance.

Bedrock Edition

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition (Commonly shortened to Bedrock Edition or Bedrock and also called Bugrock) was originally the Pocket edition so that you can play it on the toilet, in 2015 it came out with a gemmy update to make it more like Java and was ported to pc called Windows 10 edition that was actually pretty good which had faster performance and couple of good changes like snow leafs and ability to push chests with pistons also play with mobile users but (((Microsoft))) decided that it would be a good idea to shoehorned onto every platform making the Better Together update (which did not made things better) was ok at first but later became much worse when more updates passed by. Today It is infamous for being full of bugs and (((microtransactions))) with purchasable emotes, skins and players are forced to buy mods though the Bedrock Marketplace <----- meds, mods on bedrock were always free. Just play pre 1.13 bedrock for a better C++ experience but Java is gooder regardless. All Bedrock players are normies on phones or consoles and don't know that the superior edition exist or people who only play for the servers

The only redeeming quality that it still has is that in ALL benchmarks it runs SIGNIFICANTLY faster than Java Edition, because it runs on C++ and native code.

Modding Bedrock is also much easier to install mods on, skins and texture packs come in .mcpack format, which automatically installs files into their directories. You don't have to worry about downloading external libraries, paternal mods or worrying about conflicts between mods.

Legacy Console Edition

In the early 2010s, Mojang together with 4J Studios have made a bunch of ports for game consoles like Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, etc. For many kids this was their first time they played Minecraft and many of them still feel nostalgic for it and still seethe over the fact that Mojang discontinued these editions, ev&oe they actually fucking sucked. You were limited to around 12 entities and had a max world size of around 4.1 football fields their just like beta fags that are blinded by nostalgia because the game sucks now. Notably there were multiple troll JewTubers that shat out many obviously staged videos where they griefed "kids'" builds.

Download the Visual Studio Professional 2012 Application and set it up.

1. Download the Minecraft .rar file from this link with the password "fuckanon" and extract it into your desired directory.
2. Open MinecraftConsoles.sln in Visual Studio 2012, decline all prompts to connect to the version control server.
3. Extend the "Debug" dropdown that you'll find on top of the screen located near the "Local Windows Debugger", then click "Configuration Manager" and under the "Active Solution platform" dropdown select "Windows64".

On the Solution Explorer that is the Right-hand panel, right-click the Minecraft.Client, go to Debug, and click "Start new instance". P.S. If you got an error after doing this, then repeat this step.
