/soc/ - Cams and Meetups is an NSFW board on 4chan dedicated for people to post pictures of themselves, and their contacts, most notably 'cord tags and servers. For some reason, it's filled to the brim with faggots and trannies.
There's a mix of NSFW and SFW threads. Some people have (supposedly) become friends and actually met up in real life (This is a lie, everyone on that board is a catfish.)

/soc/ was created in January 2011 as a containment board for "rate me" threads, which were coaling up /b/.[1]
In 2023, a /soc/ user named Duodaddy created a dating app called Duolicious, intended for the board's users, which went viral in 2024. It became known as the "femcel dating app" (ev&doe the male to female ratio on that app is like 90:1).[2]

If you know a dipshit on der 'cord, you can post xheir username on a thread saying they're 18/F/USA and have xheir friend requests be flooded. The best part is that jannies won't give a fuck and they might even change their username to stop it.

Many threads on /soc/ are Discord threads with various purposes and niches. There are also multiple threads for Telegram and an unrelated app called Teleguard.
There are also friendship and dating threads. Most of these are probably catfish since there's literally zero verification requirement. Or e-whores looking for paypigs.
There are also threads for e-whores to post nudes of themselves that the board's users can look at for free. Some of them are normal, but there are also fetish threads. Why these foids choose to defile themselves like that for free instead of selling their nudes on OnlyFans or some shit is one of the great mysteries of the 'net.
Truly private messaging apps such as Session and SimpleX seem to be banned on /soc/ because the jannies don't want you using anything that isn't spyware (though to be fair there was probably a 'P problem on those apps). To circumvent this ban, users will sometimes post threads just titled "S" which stay up until the jannies catch them.
