Obsession is a persistent, intrusive, and often unwanted preoccupation with a thought, idea, image, or urge that causes significant distress or anxiety, leading 'teens to try to suppress or neutralize it. More broadly, obsession can also describe a strong, compelling indulgence in an interest or preoccupation, like an obsession with >DA TROONS, insert country i don't like, or gigaquoting, that consumes a 'teens thoughts. Some 'teens can also have obsessions over the word "Obsession" itself.

It was coined by the great braphilosopher Satoko, when he was trying to rationalize why 'rufags were sooooooo obsessed with xim o algo.

Usage of the word[edit | edit source]

The Obsessed Chud subvariant is one of the older usages of the word 'obsessed' within a soyjak context, the word initially was used by baiters and trannies to mock chuds by calling them obsessed with their hatred (or obsessed with troon cock). Later on it was co-opted by namefags like satoko_houjou_fan who would call posts he would like "obsessed brimstone"

"Obsession" is a 1983 song by Holly Knight and Michael Des Barres, covered in 1984 by American synth-pop band Animotion. The song hit number six in the United States, and number five in the United Kingdom in June 1985, helped by a distinctive video that MTV played frequently. "Obsession" also hit the top 40 on the US dance chart, twice: once in 1984 (the single reached No. 35 the week ending November 24); then in 1986, as a double-sided hit, along with the track "I Engineer".
